Super Tags plans and usage

Super Tags plans are limited by the number of items processed, not the number of rules. Products, orders and customers each have their own cap, every plan allows unlimited rules, and real-time tagging is included on Growth and above with a monthly event allowance. This page explains exactly what counts, what happens at the limits, and how to choose a plan.

Choosing a plan

Plan What is included
Starter Scheduled sweep tagging with per-type item caps. Unlimited rules.
Growth Everything in Starter, plus real-time tagging within seconds of an item changing, with a monthly real-time allowance and larger caps.
Pro and above Larger caps, bigger real-time allowances, and Liquid mode for advanced rules.

Current prices and caps are shown on the Usage page inside the app and on the Shopify App Store listing. Billing runs through Shopify, monthly or annual, and plan changes take effect immediately with proration handled by Shopify.

What counts toward my plan limit?

Limits are per item type: products, orders and customers each have their own cap, and the count is the items Super Tags processes in a run. Two levers keep the count under your control:

  • Sync scope - a store-wide filter per item type in Settings. Items outside the scope are not processed and do not count. A 50,000 product store that only keeps 3,000 in scope needs a plan sized for 3,000. See Settings and sync.
  • Rules are free - create as many as you like on every plan; they do not affect the count.

How does the real-time allowance work?

The real-time meter in Settings: live updates used this month against your plan's allowance.

On Growth and above, product and inventory webhooks re-tag items the moment they change. Each live update consumes one event from your monthly allowance. When the allowance is used up, tagging does not stop: changes simply wait for the next scheduled sweep, and the allowance resets with your billing month. You can also set any individual rule to run only on the sweep so it never consumes real-time events.

Allowance fully used: Settings says so plainly, and changes fall back to the sweep until it resets.
